A Pelvic Steam consultation is for those who are looking for guidance on how to steam to support their unique body & needs. You can expect to answer questions about your cycle length, if you are prone to infections, are sensitive to heat and more.

*It is contraindicated to steam if you are currently bleeding, are pregnant (37 weeks or less), feel a burning/itch in the pelvis, have had recent spontaneous bleeding or post surgery. Recommending to hold off on steaming and referring out to an Acupuncturist or Peristeam Hydrotherapist (advanced steam guidance) may be the result of your consultation. I am trained to provide basic steam guidance. Consultations are conducted via email.

It is recommended to start working with your steam practitioner no later than 36 weeks so you have everything you need in place ahead of time. It is contraindicated (not allowed) to steam before 37 weeks.

Because steaming can be used in a couple first aid situations immediately after giving birth (retained placenta, inability to go to bathroom, preeclampsia) it is recommended to have your steam practitioner as part of your birth team and to have your steam setup in place before the due date. It is contraindicated (not allowed) to steam if the uterine artery is open, your steam practitioner is trained to know when it is closed.
